Jerry Rector
Actor/Filmmaker
Jerry is an accomplished actor, filmmaker and musician with over twenty-five years in the industry. He started off as a drummer and singer in the fifties band “Big Daddy Dipstick and the Lube Jobs” before moving on to a “Black Sabbath” copy band and more, before eventually throwing the music business over for something more lucrative like acting. A partial list of his TV and Film credits include: GHOST WORLD, THE ODD COUPLE II, MEAN GUNS, MOST WANTED, NYPD BLUE, SLIDERS, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, SUPERNATURAL, TWILIGHT ZONE and more.
As a filmmaker, Jerry has written, directed, and produced several short films of his own which have enjoyed international festival attention. His film “GOOMBAH GOODBYE” is an “Official Selection” of the “Festival de Cinema International de Barcelona”, “Strabourg Film Festival”, the “Tacoma Film Festival”,and just recently won “Honorable Mention” at the “OneFest Film Festival”. “DUALITY” has been screened at many festivals around the world as well including “The New York Short Film Festival”, the “Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival” in Toronto, the “Festival de Cinema Interantional de Barcelona”,and the “Melbourne Underground Film Festival” to name a few. Jerry also co-directed and co-produced the romantic musical comedy “ELVIS,MOZART & ME”.
Jerry is honored to have “DUALITY” screen at this year’s Big Bear Horror Film Festival.
