‘America’s Horror Magazine’ Fangoria partners with Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival for 2011!
Not since Freddy met Jason has there been a more logical pairing in the horror genre: The Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival® is partnering with Fangoria magazine as the exclusive horror genre media sponsor. Fangoria will be covering all that the three-day festival has to offer – from screenings to workshops to costumed fans meeting their fright film heroes.
The horror magazine’s editors will also be among the festival’s presenters, discussing the infamous publication’s origins, its content and an overview of “genre journalism” that is sure to be a scream. Fangoria has had a presence at the festival since it began in 2009. Their presence and participation has grown as the festival has grown in popularity.
“Fangoria is the definitive magazine on all things horror, so it’s a natural fit for us to work together,” said BBHFF director of programming Christopher Gaida. “I wouldn’t exactly say that it’s a match made in heaven, but it’s one we’re very pleased about.”
Justin Beahm with Fangoria Entertainment agreed. “Fangoria is proud to partner with the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival® for their third anniversary,” he said. “With both brands sharing a strong commitment to independent genre entertainment, the relationship is as natural as hockey masks and machetes. Camped away in the woods at idyllic Big Bear Lake, I think together us two terror titans will present an unforgettable festival experience unlike any other."
