Sharon has been around the “biz” for all of her adult life.  Her husband,  Lowell Dean, is a professional actor and her son, Brett Gytri is a SAG actor too who got his start in Hot Tub Time Machine as a ski stunt double which filmed at her locale, Snow Summit Ski Resort.  Sharon, a SAG background actress, is also a talent manager, and her company, Connections by Sharon has handled local principal and background casting for film/tv projects that have shot in Big Bear, her hometown.  Recently, she cast a Discovery Channel® pilot and a TNT/Warner Horizon Scripted Television® pilot entitled “Bird Dog." 

Sharon has been a volunteer for many years at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, and she was on staff for two years as the local sponsors and wrap party coordinator.  She has more recently handled publicity for filmmakers accepted to that festival. 

In 2010, Gytri coordinated special events for the Big Bear Horror Film Festival.  She loves being with filmmakers and talent and has a manner that puts celebrities at ease, which makes her ideal for her new role as a VIP Liaison of the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival.
