Writer, Director, Producer, Actor, Casting Director, Cinematographer

With a filmmaker father and an improv-comedy mother, Eric spent his developing years at Chicago’s Second City, watching his mother teach improvisation. He got his first movie camera at the age of nine, and began making movies with his friends and family and soon began working as a stage actor and, later, a writer. He wrote his first produced play at 17, his second at 18, and his first musical with original score at 20. After college, Eric worked in Chicago in some of the top theaters as a writer and a director.

After helming over 60 productions back east, (some with stars like Steve
Carell, Amy Sedaris and Steve Colbert), Eric relocated to California. Eric's first love (film) had called, and so he came.

After paying his dues in a variety of film jobs, and hooking up with Christopher Coppola and a few others who helped him learn the ropes, Eric began selling his writing again in 2001 - he began directing shortly thereafter. Most of Eric’s early jobs were genre films. His feature films
include, ‘Alien Abduction,’ ‘Snakes on a Train,’ ‘Night of the Dead,’ ‘Monster,’ ‘30,000 Leagues Under the Sea,’ ‘Pledge of Allegiance,’ and ‘War of the Worlds 2.’

Eric’s is married to Chicago stage director, Karen (Goodman) Forsberg. They have a daughter, Lola, who is an actress. Eric and his family live in Fawnskin near Big Bear, California.
