Can I change the date or screening time of my film?

Official selections, once they have been made and the schedule has been released, cannot be changed.  For this reason, we do not move screening times around.  Date and time requests can be made at the time of submission, but are not guaranteed.

If you have questions concerning this, please email our filmmaker rep at filmmakers@bigbearhorrorfilmfest.com.  We appreciate your understanding and know that together, we can fill seats for your screening.

Are filmmakers receiving comp tickets for the festival?**

Each film will be granted two complimentary All Access passes, which grant access to all events and screenings the entire weekend.  In addition we are also offering you up to four One Day passes good only the day of your screening, for cast and crew to come support and/or be a part of your Q and A.

Individual tickets will be sold for blocks of films on the website and at the door (cash preferred).  We encourage you to get the word out and have your fans buy their individual tickets in advance.

All passes are available online up to two days prior to the festival here: TICKETS

As a filmmaker, do I get a free room and/or discounts at the local hotels?

Our official lodging partners have special rates for anyone mentioning the Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival.

If you would like more information about our partner lodgings, visit this page: HOTELS

If you would like to talk to one of our Big Bear Local Advisors, please send us an email at info@bigbearhorrorfilmfest.com.  Be sure to type "Local Advisor" in the subject line.  Make certain to include your name, email address, and phone number in your email and someone from our local staff will get back to you right away.

Will I be receiving a welcome packet?

Upon checking in at the festival, all filmmakers will receive a welcome packet, which will include a free program guide, SWAG from several of our partners, information regarding local eateries, maps, etc.

Can I hang up posters?

Filmmaker are responsible for contacting hotels and businesses to obtain permission and location for hanging posters, flyers, or any other promotional materials.  BBHFF does not handle promotion of individual films.

Will I be able to do a Q and A after my film screens?

After each block of screenings there will be a short break (and in some cases a time buffer) at which time question and answer sessions may take place, provided the room doesn't need to be cleared for the next screening.

Please drop us a line and let us know you are coming and if you'd like to hold a Question and Answer session (Q and A).

We cannot guarantee everyone a Q and A time in the theater, but there are other on-site spaces that can be used for this purpose.  The sooner you let us know of your desire to hold one, the better your chances of getting one SCHEDULED inside the theater.

We will do our best to accommodate you on a first come, first serve basis.

May I sell merchandise relating to my film?

At this time we are not allowing anyone to sell their merchandise at any of our screening venues.
Sale of merchandise (other than Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival merchandise and pre-approved exhibitor merchandise) is not permitted.

If you are interested in purchasing exhibition space, please contact our Hospitality Director.
