The festival is a small and intimate gathering where horror and sci-fi fans can come to the peaceful, idyllic surroundings of Big Bear Lake and enjoy themselves amidst fellow horror freaks and sci-fi geeks.

The Big Bear Horro-Fi Film Festival provides a forum for both established and up-and-coming filmmakers, to promote the advancement and creativity of filmmaking, and to showcase their films to audiences within the horror and sci-fi genres.  Big Bear Lake creates an atmosphere of intimacy, thereby providing accessibility between horror and sci-fi celebrities, filmmakers, and fans.
