About

Mission Statement

The Big Bear Horror Film Festival was created to provide a forum for both established and up-and-coming filmmakers, to promote the advancement and creativity of filmmaking, and to showcase their films to audiences within the horror genre. We believe that our host city, Big Bear Lake, creates an atmosphere of intimacy, thereby providing accessibility between horror celebrities, filmmakers, and fans.

  • Kerry O’Quinn for jumping blindly on board with us this first year!

  • Tom Devlin for making our staff look scary.

  • Scott Brown for sharing his photographic talents with us.

  • Old Country for catering our VIP reception with their delicious spread.
